Another old flag came out on June 15th, the Grand Union Flag. This is considered to be the first flag of the United States. It consists of the 13 stripes representing the 13 colonies, but instead of stars, it has the Union Jack that existed at the time.
You’ll notice that the red diagonal cross representing Ireland hadn’t been added yet. This flag dates before its inclusion in 1801. See the flag below:
