Australia Day, January 26th, is the anniversary of the arrival, in 1788, of the first fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, NSW. Today’s celebrations of Australia day embrace the country’s diverse society.
The flag of Australia is flown today in honor of Australia Day as well as to remember the devastating fires which are currently occurring on this continent.
I previously described the flag of Australia when I first flew it on June 22, 2019.
