Today, to celebrate the inauguration of President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, the Betsy Ross flag and the current flag of the United States flag fly.
Today, our country begins a course correction for our nation. We turn again towards the rule of law and away from the values of hate. We turn again toward valuing all people, not just a select few. We turn again toward the journey our nation has been on since its inception, to bring life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to all as we build a more perfect union.
Changing this course will be a difficult task, it will take time, energy, and understanding. It will, hopefully, cause all Americans to examine their thoughts and beliefs and be willing to work together to make our nation better.
