March 19, 2021 – Northern Territory

Today, the flag of the Northern Territory flies, along with the flag of its country, Australia. These flags are being flown in commemoration of our trip to Australia during March of 2020. You can view the photos of the trip on Flickr.

A year ago today, on March 19, 2020, we spent our day in Alice Springs, NT, which is at the geographic center of Australia. We viewed and visited Simpson’s Gap and walked in top of an underground River. After the tour, we walked around downtown Alice Springs and visited City Hall.

The evening took us to the Alice Springs Telegraph Station for a sunset dinner. We rode a camel, toured the telegraph station, and then tucked in for an amazing dinner. The live music was great and the astronomy lecture was really cool!

In Alice Springs, the NT Flag flies, along with the Australian and aboriginal flags over the Anzac memorial.
