September 11, 2021 – 20th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

September 11, 2001 is a day that changed the world. Some people’s lives were personally changed and others were changed through the global changes which occurred in response to the attacks.

On that day, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives. Some were travelers and airline crew, others were people who worked in and around buildings that the planes hit, others were first responders who bravely worked to save people after the attacks happened.

In the intervening years, the world has continued to change, some change for the better and some change for the worse. However, in my opinion, the spirit of the United States survives. We are not a perfect nation, but we strive to be more perfect as the days go by.

On this day, I remember all those who died, all those who were injured, all those who were affected, and all those who worked to save the injured and recover the dead.

Today, the flag of the United States flies at half staff in commemoration of the lives lost and affected by the attacks of September 11, 2001.
