Today, the flags of Finland & Sweden fly.
The flag of Finland flies in recognition of Independence Day in the nordic nation, which takes place annually on December 6th. It celebrates the independence of Finland from Russia in 1917. This flag was a gift from my wife when she visited Finland in 2010.
The flag of Sweden flies in recognition of the annual awarding of Nobel prizes in Norway in Sweden, which annually occurs on December 10th, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death.
