On February 6, 1788, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ratified the United States Constitution, making it the 6th state to join the Union. This flag was adopted in 1908.

The flag of the United Kingdom flies in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne on February 2, 1952, upon the death of her father, King George VI.
According to the font of all knowledge, the Queen is, “… the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch, the longest-serving female head of state in history, the oldest living and longest-reigning current monarch, and the oldest and longest-serving incumbent in head of state.”

Today is also Waitangi Day, the national day on New Zealand, but I don’t have three flagpoles.
