Today, the flag of Australia flies in commemoration of the first flying of the Australian flag on September 3, 1901 in Melbourne. Today, the 3rd of September is commemorated as Australian National Flag Day. This flag was a gift from my mother.
Also flying today is the flag of the Northern Territory of Australia, which in my opinion, is the most attractive of all the state and territorial flags. I purchased this flag on a trip to Australia in 2020.
