Today, the flag of Kansas flies. The Kansas flag was adopted in 1927 and modified in 1961. It consists of the state seal on a field of azure, a sunflower is displayed above the seal and the word “Kansas” in yellow below.
Also flying is the Grand Union Flag, which is a revolutionary war flag and one of the original flags of the United States.
