Today, the flag of the state of Maryland flies in commemoration of the March 25, 1634 landing of the first European settlers in the Province of Maryland, the third English colony to be settled in British North America.
The Maryland state flag is one of my favorites, as it’s instantly recognizable and used so well to represent the state.
