Today the flag of the United States flies in commemoration of Memorial Day. In the United States, Memorial Day holiday honors and mourns the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties.
The flag flying today belonged to John Alvis, the man who gave me my flag pole. He was a proud Navy Veteran.
