Today, the flag of state of Montana flies along with the flag of South Africa.
The flag of Montana flies in commemoration of this state’s admission, on November 8, 1889, as the 41st state in the Union. The current flag was adopted in 1905, and the word “Montana” above the seal was added in 1981.
