Today, the Saltire (Flag of Scotland) flies in celebration of St. Andrew’s Day in Scotland, which is Scotland’s National Day.
Also flying today is the flag of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. This flag is the reverse of the Saltire, meaning the background is white and the St. Andrew’s cross is blue. The Royal Arms of Scotland are emblazoned over the center of the cross.
