Today the flags of the Republic of India and the United Kingdom fly in memory of those who dies and were injured in the crash of Air India flight 171 this morning in Ahmedabad, India. The aircraft crashed about 1 mile away from the runway from which it took off. News reports are quoting the airline as saying that the Boeing 787 aircraft had 242 passengers and crew members on board, including 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese and one Canadian.
While it’s far too early to know the cause of the crash as well as the number of dead and injured, the passengers, crew, affected people on the ground, and their families are in our thoughts today.
