Today, the flags of the United States, California, the City of San Jose, and the City of Piedmont fly in celebration of the retirement of my friend Jeremy Bowers.
Jeremy and I worked together at the City of Piedmont for just under a decade and I admire his passion, vigor, rigor, and commitment to the community. Yesterday, at his retirement party, I presented him with a United States flag that had flown over the San Jose Police Department and the Piedmont Police Department, between which he spent his entire career.
