Today, the flag of the United States flies in commemoration and remembrance of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King’s legacy of non-violent protest, civil disobedience, action, and work in the face of injustice are a lasting legacy to us all, especially in the times we are living in now.
Also flying today are the flags of the State of Georgia, where Dr.King was born and the State of Alabama, where he did much of his work.
