Today, the flag of the great state of New Hampshire flies in recognition of my friend Becca Pedersen’s graduation from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Becca has worked extremely hard over the past several years to earn her degree and, due to her indefatigable nature and tenacity, has graduated. I’ve known Becca for about two decades and I am so proud of her for achieving this goal, even with all the adversity life has thrown at her. I know Jane is so proud of you!

Also flying today is the flag of the great state of Montana. On November 8, 1889, Montana was admitted as the 41st state in the Union. The current flag was adopted in 1905, and the word “Montana” above the seal was added in 1981. This flag was a gift from our neighbors who visited Montana earlier this year!
