Last night, the Oakland Ballers won the Pioneer League Championship, beating the Idaho Falls Chukars by a game score of 8-1 and a series score of 3-2. The Ballers came back from a 0-2 deficit after the initial games in Idaho Falls and won three straight games at Raimondi Park to win the championship.
The Ballers had a record setting regular season, winning 73 of their 96 regular season games, for a winning percentage of .760. This total was the most games won by a Pioneer League team since the 1960s. They won the division series against Ogden, 2 games to 1.
When the Ballers were founded in preparation for the 2024 season, the ownership group pledged to bring championship baseball to Oakland and they’ve accomplished their goal.
The atmosphere at the three playoff games I attended was electric! After last night’s win, the crowd was so thankful and the players acknowledged the support from the community.
GO BALLERS!

Love it! ππππ
