Today, the flag of the state of New York flies in commemoration of the Empire State’s ratification of the constitution on this date in 1788, making it the eleventh state.
Chapter 57, Article 6, Section 70 of the Consolidated Laws of New York, describes the flag thusly, “State flag. The state flag is hereby declared to be blue, charged with the arms of the state in the colors as described in the blazon of this section.”
Also flying are the flags of the State of Washington and the flag of San Juan County, Washington because I like them!
